4. Locate the Drain Plug and Loosen. Locate the drain plug. This is found on the bottom of the radiator. Place a pan under the drain plug to catch old coolant. Loosen the drain plug and allow coolant to flow. Tighten the drain plug when coolant has stopped flowing. 5. Fill the Cooling System with Distilled Water.

BMW repair instructions require removal of both turbos to do the job. Your low coolant warning is not related to these lines.
The BMW cooling system on their 8-cylinder engine uses cooling pipes underneath the intake manifold to return coolant from the back of the block. This involves a manifold and two cooling pipes leading from the rear coolant manifold to the water pump. Below these coolant pipes is a coolant passage in the valley of the block.
